AHH I HAVE NOTHING TO PUT HERE ANYMORE... sorry

This past couple of days have been really good! We are doing a lot to try and find people to teach and it is starting to pick up momentum! This is going to be a good week! 

We had a cooking lesson with Iris and she taught us how to make lasagna! I had no idea how much time and effort it takes to make it, thank you mom! We had a lot of fun and we got to know more about each other so it was good! 

We have been doing our "Flip for Jesus" more and it seems like a lot of people like it. It has been cool to see how people react and they seem a lot more open. 

Overall, we are having fun AND getting the work done! The best combo ever. 

I don't know if I have mentioned this but President Innes challenged us to read the Book of Mormon in 90 days together and it is so cool! The Book of Mormon really is for us today and it really does help with anything we are going through. It is really cool to see how when we do this we grow in a companionship and get closer to Christ. If any of y'all need some peace and joy read the Book of Mormon I can promise to y'all that you will feel the peace you need!

This week something good to do is to pick a Christlike attribute you want to develop and study it all week. With every prayer you say mention that you want that attribute and act. At the end of the week look back and see how you have grown closer to Christ.

ESCAPE!!!

So I FREAKING LOVE ESCAPE ROOMS!!!!! We got to go to one today. I kinda suck at them but it is so much fun and I mean we escaped so #blessed. I really don't have time to do my weekly email so I am just going to add a bunch of photos and have that be my weekly.

p.s. it was transfers this week and we are staying in Inman and I freaking love it!! 

#depressed

We were reading in the Book of Mormon in comp study and we happened on this verse in Jacob 1:12 and it says, " And it came to pass that Nephi died" . Sister Laudie was so upset that she wrote #depressed in her scriptures. It's a sad day in the scriptures when Nephi dies. 

We were able to do some fun service this week! We had the chance to do an interfaith community project and help with a homeless shelter. We painted and we are going back on Saturday to help with more painting and assembling shelves. It will be a whole lot of fun! 

I honestly can't think of a lot more to add #sorry!

"I got a clean slate, maybe you should try it!"

Lisa got baptized and it was so good! She told us that she is going to say this to some of her siblings to get them thinking! Man, I love Lisa! She was so happy and just had this glow about her. It was so amazing to be a part of! It was also super cute to see her husband baptize her! I LOVE being a missionary!

This week we were able to go on exchanges and it was super fun. I just love Sister Church so much! We were able to see some really cool miracles and am grateful for that! We did some service this week and we were moving bricks into a trailer. Freaky thing is that we saw 3 black widows!! I almost started crying but the members that were with us killed them for us. 

The Fourth of July was a lot of fun! We went to a members lake house. Sadly a storm rolled in right before fireworks. It was alright though because we got to watch a really cool lightning storm and hear loud thunder so I still count it as a good Fourth! 

A good talk to read this week is called "The first great Commandment" By Elder Holland! Holy Hannah is that a good talk!

If I would've known...

So to start the weekly off here is a little story... Our mission is trying to do more service referrals through Facebook. We have gotten a lot of people that we can do service for so we are #blessed. But...there was this one lady who asked us to come and do some yard work. The only time that worked for us was 1:00 in the afternoon. South Carolina in June at 1:00 in the afternoon is so hot and humid. But...we did it anyway. We showed up and we mowed her lawn with a push mower and the grass was knee high on me! We could only do like half her yard in the 2 hours we had available. When we were finishing up, she said that if she would've known they would be sending two girls to do it, she wouldn't have asked for it. I am glad that we could serve her but learned a very valuable lesson... if you are going to do yard work in the summer in South Carolina, do it in the morning before the hot and humid weather hits!

We got to do a lot of cool things this week! We had zone conference and it was so much fun! We have a big push on studying the Book of Mormon and we have been challenged to read it in 90 days. I am so pumped! I love the Book of Mormon. We were able to set up a family history thing at a gas station and it was fun! We put on a poster one of our ancestors that served in the military and put a sign up to see off anyone wants to learn more about family history. We are going to do it a couple more times in the month because "Merica". 

We also got to be part of a Fourth of July celebration and it was so good! There was some crazy cool talent from other faiths and it was a blast to get into it. My favorite part was this guy who did the "I Have a Dream" speech and it sounded like Martin Luther was actually there #shooketh

Lisa is getting baptized on Saturday and I am PUMPED! She is just the cutest thing ever and I can't wait to see what the gospel brings into her life!
